Michelle Miller is the assistant coach for the 18-1s team, and is in her third year coaching at Hoosierland Volleyball Club. Miller is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Kinesiology in the School of HPER at Indiana University. She teaches students to be qualified, experienced and certified fitness professionals who want to use movement to improve people’s lives. When she isn’t in the classroom, you will find her in a gym or other exercise environment working as a clinical exercise specialist with individuals who want to improve their quality of life thru some form of activity or exercise.
Coaching has been a lifelong pursuit for Michelle as she herself has been a trained athlete playing volleyball at Ball State University in the mid-80’s. Now she helps others meet their training goals whether it’s to rehab a replaced hip or improve their vertical jump.
Miller's volleyball experience has come from a variety of situations. In high school she played in the first ever Indiana State Championship match against a team from northern Indiana that at that time (and no time after it) allowed boys to play on the girls team. Although it was one of the most devastating losses in her sport life, it also provided an important lesson. She then moved on to a higher level and played collegiate volleyball at Ball State University. After leaving Ball State with a teaching degree, she coached at the middle and high school level for 11 years before returning to higher education, another degree and her current faculty position with Indiana University. In 2007 and 2008, Miller volunteered to coach the middle school teams at St Charles Catholic School in Bloomington where they were undefeated for two straight years.

At 16 Open Nationals, her Mavericks club team won the championship, and Hall was recognized as the tournament MVP. Throughout her club career her team competed in the Open Division of Junior Olympics every year, and she earned all-tournament selection twice. Hall attended Murrieta Valley High School and played on varsity all four years.
During Hall’s freshman year, she played at UCLA and transferred to Indiana for the remainder of her collegiate career. As a player at IU she was recognized as an all-tournament selection at Valparaiso and at Ohio University. During her collegiate career she recorded over 800 kills and more than 850 digs.
Scotty Weddle is the assistant coach for the 16-1s team this season.

game of volleyball, and in turn, his passion for the sport started to
grow.
Weddle currently attends Indiana University and is majoring in Studio Art,
Graphic Design, and Photography. Volleyball is still in his everyday life
as a student. He participates in both YMCA and IU competitive leagues,
plays pick-up with the IU men's club volleyball team, and last season, was
a volunteer coach for the 18s team with Coach Kim.
